Finally - Our second event!
On the 14th of April it finally happened: Our second event took place!
At 7 p.m. there was a concert at our high school where our vocal group and the school band presented their skills. For this event, they have practiced the entire school year.
Our job during this important evening was to care for the guests' well-being and to supply them with drinks and self-made snacks from various English-speaking countries.
Young and old people, our principal, teachers, parents, siblings of the protagonists and even pupils were part of the audience.
At home we prepared the snacks in groups of two, so they would be ready to be enjoyed at the concert. My friend Laura and me, for example, had to bake the so-called "Anzac cookies" (see the recipe in our last blog post).
Other snacks were the "Queen Victoria Cakes" and "Meat pies" (Recipes will follow! Be excited!).
For we wanted to create a club-atmosphere during the event, drinks were served at the tables. You could choose between soft drinks and wine or champagne.
All in all, the evening was a great success for us as a team and we hope that every single guest enjoyed our snacks and drinks.
